Continuing on our journey to cover transfer tittle-tattle linking the Hatters with a signing, it is time for our second piece of the day.

Earlier today, we covered the possibility of the Arsenal youngster, Charlie Patino, joining Luton Town – exciting-arsenal-forward-linked-with-luton-town-move.

But Patino wasn’t the only youngster linked with a move, to Kenilworth Road, late yesterday.

The Football League World are linking the Hatters with a move for the Manchester United young midfielder, Hannibal Mejbri.

Mejbri, just 20-years-of-age, is a Tunisian international but, like Charlie Patino, wants regular first-team football, something he is unlikely to experience, at Old Trafford, next season.

Last season, Mejbri was on loan at the EFL Championship side, Birmingham City, for whom he made 38 league appearances scoring one solitary goal.

However, as you’d expect, there is interest in obtaining Mejbri from another club, rumoured to be the EFL Championship side, Leicester City.

It’s still hard to comprehend the fall from grace Leicester City have suffered, falling from Premier League / FA Cup winners to the Championship in a few short years.

Our source is of the belief that Mejbri would prefer Premier League football, but can the Hatters beat off the challenge of the Foxes?

My view is that he could be a decent signing, especially considering he’s familiar with another of our recent signings, Tahith Chong.

Could Mejbri become a Hatter, either permanently or on loan for the season?

Just saw highlights (so not an expert view by any stretch) and early doors… but, Ogbene looked decent, Shea looked way off the pace and has Chong got it in him to manage the press (couldn’t tell on their goal if he didn’t press twice or wingers fault for not getting back tbf).
Unbeaten and minutes in the legs so not a bad match.

As I said previously, experimental 11 & only a pre season run out…..no need to panic chaps….

Certainly no panics, not even started the season and whatever happens this year, proud of the boys Alan!
