It’s all gone quiet on the transfer speculation scene, a far cry from yesterday when we were linked with two youngsters, Charlie Patino and Hannibal Mejbri.

I’m hoping that, behind the scenes, there is a flurry of activity, with those involved with such dealings trying desperately to seal a deal, or two, especially when it comes to a goalkeeper.

In such a lull in activity, I’d love a busy 1700 hours with a couple of signings being announced.

Scoring goals, in the Premier League, is of paramount importance, chances could be few and far between as we become the 51st club to play in the top-flight of English football, the Premier League.

Earlier this week, transfer speculation linked Luton Town with a move for the young Aston Villa striker – Kienan Davis – a player who although is on the books of Premier League Aston Villa has been out on loan to EFL Championship clubs in the two previous seasons, Nottingham Forest and Watford.

Now, I’m probably not alone in thinking Davis could be an asset to the squad but is a player who won’t get the quantity of goals we need from a striking recruit.

As a result, I used our poll facility to ask the simple question:

Should Luton Pursue A Deal For Kienan Davis?

Looking at the results, it appears my views were shared by the majority with 80% voting for the NO option and only 20% for the YES option.

As far as the transfer market goes, I’m still convinced we need to add a striker, somebody who has a history of scoring goals in the Premier League, but who is available, and in our price range, remains the key question.
