Exciting Arsenal Forward Linked With Luton Town Move

Transfer speculation, as far as the Hatters goes, continues to keep me occupied as the season draws nearer by the day.

Yesterday afternoon, as I was enjoying the first spell of sunshine for a couple of days, news broke via several media sources, including – Football League World – that Luton Town were among the front runners to sign the promising young Arsenal striker, Charlie Patino.

Patino, currently on the books of Arsenal, is set to leave the North London club in the hopes of securing regular first-team football.

Last season, Arsenal sent the youngster on a season-long loan spell with Blackpool, whilst at Bloomfield Road, he made 37 league appearances and scored 3 times, as Blackpool were relegated.

As far as playing for his parent club, Arsenal, Patino has yet to make his league debut.

If Patino were to sign for Luton Town, it would be a remarkable return with the youngster having been on our books during the period 2011 to 2015, joining us when he was 8 and leaving when he was 12.

However, Luton Town have rivals for his signature with Cardiff City also reported, by our source, to be interested.

Can I see Patino coming to Kenilworth Road, on a permanent basis, probably not.

His scoring record, last season, was far from impressive and if the Hatters are in the market for a striker, I’d hope that it would be somebody who knows where the back of the net is.

People may say Patino has youth on his side, but our recent record in bringing those with youth on their side on, doesn’t bode well!

One for the future again 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

In fact I’d bet young braney who we got in will have a bigger future an he’s only 18 !!!!!

  • jimbo says:

with our habit of winning 1-0 ,do we really need another striker. think our defence will be over stretched this season. look forward to any transfer news.COYH.

Jimbo winning 1-0 in the championship is not going to be 1-0 in the premier believe me !!! I’ve already said personally I see thirty goals in total from the five forwards that is not going to be enough if the midfielders add 10 and defence 5 that’s 45 still not enough I would say. The prem is so much harder than the championship it’s another level. That’s why I feel we must get a prem striker.

  • Peter Scott says:

We desperately need an attacker after last nights display against Ipswich and Goal Keeper

    • Chris winter says:

Be fair Peter Ipswich have been in training longer had two games already.we went in first competitive game with three newbies an were just experimenting.it was just a leg stretching exercise. Wednesday game I expect a different team again an like this one minute in legs that’s what these two games are about. It will be more honest against wolves an Berlin when Rob has more idea where he wants us to be for Brighton. Like you I want a prem striker added but there is time yet an a keeper is on the way.

  • DrG says:

He is a midfield player and generally has played as a 6 or 8. Not a striker. If Luton do get him you would have a wonderful player on your hands. Arsenal fans gutted to see him go. Also competition from Cardiff is limited to a loan deal only because they have a transfer embargo and Charlie ideally wants a permanent move.

Just read Peter Scott’s comments on outlaws site. My god your a happy soul… “we looked like a league 2 outfit we must beat wednesday as they are favourites for relegation” my god it was an experimental 11 in a FRIENDLY…..really look to reading your comments once the season starts…. with supporters like this, who needs opposition fans. .

  • Chris winter says:

I think I was right with my comments alan.but as you say some people see every game as a competitive game no matter what. Supposing we had an injury during that game that would be serious especially in a friendly.

  • Alan says:

    Spot on m8….pretty sad really….

  • Chris winter says:

Even rob admitted I call it right. Said more or less what I said that’s why as a coach I won two leagues as a coach 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

  • Outlaws says:

another former Luton player who joined Arsenal as a youngster like Wilshere.
Surprised none of the resident ego’s on here knew that pfff to busy pontificating their normal twaddle
