Luton Rocked By Yet Another Injury Blow

Just forty-eight hours ago, I penned an article basically asking the support to look upon the bright side of life.

The article – injury-hell-at-kenilworth-road – as the title suggests, covered the growing injury pandemic Nathan Hones is operating under and covered the rumours emanating from the club that naming a starting XI for the trip to Bournemouth, of fully fit players, could be a tough assignment.

In penning the article, I hoped it was a scenario of things can only get better!

How wrong could I have been?

Yesterday, as reported by Luton Today, at his pre-match press conference, Nathan Jones explained that, yet another player had picked up an injury, heightening a worsening situation, with the gaffer remarking:

“Unless you want me to give you team news, it’s difficult.

“Something’s happened in training today and it’s difficult to fathom.”

Clearly, with so many injuries in his squad, Nathan does not want to reveal, yet, who is the latest casualty.

Here at Vital Luton Town, I am fearful that it could be a key member of our usual starting XI, but I guess only time will reveal.

But one thing that is certain is that the naming of the starting XI for Saturday’s fixture against Bournemouth, at the Vitality Stadium, could be interesting with it being speculated that available numbers, when it comes to the first team squad, could be lower than double figures.

there must be a common denominator to this strange injury dilemma. could it be the surface they train on,the actual training methods they use,or do they just need time to recover, like any other team.certainly is a head scratcher.hope the spurs lad signs.COYH

Think it’s recovery time, as some have been playing with slight knocks, due to needs must, that have become worse…..
