Following the 3-3 draw with Swansea City, on Saturday, in a game in which we led 3-0, I probably was not the only person to have a knee-jerk reaction.
I guess, for us football supporters, our reactions are always born out of our passion for the club and, on reflection, my thoughts in the following articles – surely-that-cannot-be-good-enough – and – nathan-without-mick-equals-problems – were a little harsh, even more so when, through the grapevine I have heard some facts that explain why things might have happened as they did.
It does not seem that long ago that, having suffered from an injury crisis, Nathan Jones explained that he had, almost, a fully fit squad to choose from, but that is no longer the case now.
Far from having a fully fit squad, we understand that the treatment room, at the club, is the most populated it has been with a plethora of players seeking assistance for a variety of injures.
It is not just one or two, three or four, but I am led to believe, more than ten and that several of those that played, against Swansea City, were far from fully fit but rallied to the cause.
It really is all hands to the pump as the physios and the rest of the medical staff seek to give Nathan a chance to name a team for the forthcoming trip to take on AFC Bournemouth.
So, while it is, as I proved myself, easy to form an opinion, attach blame and occasionally rant and rave, perhaps we should look at the situation from another angle.
Bournemouth will be a tough game, one we might struggle to get a result in with fully fit squad, but with all our problems, it looks far tougher, so let’s get behind those who are selected and hang on in there for when things, as they must, injury-wise get better.

Hi both,we all have rant, me included…its just easy from the outside looking in…..and there have been bigger managers than nj that have suffered from injury crisis in the past….as I said let’s see how things go when we can get a settled 100% team together. Won’t be long hopefully….coyh….
I see we’ve signed 2 new players in time to go into the first team sat 😂
For the U21 squad but with our injury list you just never know.
Us 3 could take our boots…..
Like everyone else I was as disappointed by Saturday’s result and had a bad weekend. But when all that has been said I think we are still in a good place , when we get a few back from injury we can give anyone a good run for the money against Bristol city better finishing and we would have won and Saturday was the same so get some back and we shall see what this team can really do .
