After the demolition of Coventry City, on Wednesday evening, I was among many supporters who hoped for something similar against Huddersfield Town, on Saturday.
But it was not to be.
Perhaps the tone for the disappointing game was set earlier on once the heavens opened and unlashed a torrent of water that made conditions far from easy.
On such occasions, when you have been served a platter of treats one game and just disappointment the next, it is hard to take positives from the broken dreams.
But there were positives taken from the game yesterday, as my the smattering of posts left on social media show:
Should have put it to bed in the first half but canโt fault the effort in atrocious conditions #COYH

Looking at the positives that's 2 clean sheets from two home games .

Just never fell kindly. Can't fault the effort though.

We tried. Didn't happen yesterday but not for the want of trying.

Indeed, I would give the team 10 out of 10 for effort and, like I have said before, we will, on some days, play worse and walk off with a decent win, such is life.
But another poster, perhaps summed it up perfectly:
looks like we emptied the goal tank Wednesday #COYH

On Wednesday, against Coventry City, every chance that fell our way was taken, yesterday none were, but 4 points from 2 home games against sides who were above us in the table is nothing to be scoffed at, is it?
