October has only just commenced but already our local rivals, Watford, are making the headlines.

The last time our paths crossed was back on 17-April-2021 when, in a Championship fixture at the time, Luton emerged winners, 1-0, thanks to a 78th minute penalty from James Collins.

The period before the match saw some healthy banter exchanged between the two sets of supporters, here on Vital Luton Town.

The Watford fraternity took great delight in reminding us where they would be playing their football, compared to us, this season.

The Luton fraternity questioned how long Watford would remain a Premier League club and how long it would be before there would be yet another change at the Vicarage club managerial helm.

Well, we can confirm that the latest incumbent of the job, Xisco Munoz, has been sacked after just 7 games of the 2021/2022 Premier League season, or, in calendar terms, 10 months in charge.

His sacking means that the Hertfordshire club has now had FIVE managers in the last TWO years.

Have they never heard of continuity!

Never mind, just relax folks, it’ll only be a matter of time before our paths cross again, back in the Championship lol.
