It Is Going Right Down To The Wire

Two games to go and although our current form is far from sparkling, there is still hope that the Hatters can stay up.

Although Nottingham Forest won, I saw enough to convince me this relegation fight is going right down to the wire.

Next up for Luton Town is a trip to the London Stadium to take on West Ham United, a Hammers side that were trounced 5-0 by Chelsea, on Sunday.

Incidentally, it is Chelsea, who beat us home and away this season, that could be instrumental in our survival plan, as it is the West London side who Nottingham Forest play next, at the City Ground.

After Chelsea’s recent run of form, with the club looking to secure European football next season, I’m confident they can, playing their counter attacking football, go to the City Ground and secure a win.

Now if my forecast does come true, with Luton Town beating West Ham United and Chelsea beating Nottingham Forest, it will set up a cracking final day of the season with Luton Town welcoming Fulham to Kenilworth Road and Nottingham Forest having to travel to Turf Moor, to take on Burnley, who I’m guessing would just love to finish the season with a flourish.

Who is to say the following pundit, on social media, hasn’t got this one spot on!

We were written off at the beginning of the season, but we are still in it with two games to go. Can't wait for a David Pleat style jig from Rob Edwards on last day of season when we stay up. COYH
