This time last week, at a time when the Hatters had not won for six games, I ran a cheeky poll.
With two home games, in quick succession, looming large on the horizon, with Coventry City and Huddersfield Town being the opposition, I asked:
The Two Home Games Will See Luton Take?
And gave you four options to choose from:
• 6 points
• 4 points
• 3 points
• Less Than 3 points
After the poor run of form, the Hatters knuckled down to give their performance of the season so far, thrashing Coventry City 5-0 before being frustrated by Huddersfield going all defensive on us and holding the Hatters to a 0-0 draw yesterday.
Consequently, Luton took a respectable 4 points from the 2 games, something 31% of those who voted anticipated.
Now, if Amari’i Bell had of taken the best chance the Hatters had against Huddersfield, Luton would have racked up 6 points, something 29% of those voted believed would happen.
As for the remainder of the votes cast, 16% believed we would win one of the two games while 24% reckoned we would not win either but may have scraped a draw or two, at best.
As for me, I am happy with the 4 points from 6 available, it is a platform upon which Nathan Jones can continue to build our season on, onwards and upwards as they say!
