Luton Town – Centre Back Linked With Kenilworth Road Departure

On Saturday, in the 5-1 defeat inflicted upon us by Brentford at Kenilworth Road, Gabe Osho made his long-awaited return from injury.

Osho has been an impressive performer, this season, for the Hatters as they seek to retain their Premier League status.

Joining Luton Town, from Reading, Osho’s game has developed enormously and it is fair to say he has established himself as a regular starter under the guidance of Rob Edwards and his back room staff.

Indeed, it is difficult to understand why his previous club, Reading, didn’t do more to keep him on their books.

However, it appears that Osho’s current contract expires at the end of the season and with Luton’s Premier League fate still undecided, his future remains uncertain.

Indeed, speculation is already circulating that a leading Premier League club are interested in picking up Gabe on a free transfer.

According to Caught Offside, Tottenham Hotspur are the club preparing to snare a potential bargain.

Naturally a lot depends on how the Hatters season ends, if Luton Town do manage to retain their Premier League status, I’d hope Gabe can be persuaded to sign a new deal but, if the Hatters go down, having sampled Premier League football, could Gabe be tempted by a move to N17?

Your thoughts on the subject matter would be greatly appreciated.

Osho an mehngi are both on premier league clubs radars with osho out of contract it will be difficult to keep him if relegated with wages far higher on offer. Mehngi has a long contract so will take a big offer to let him leave.

Personally I think it’s just paper talk Tottenham will look at bigger targets no disrespect to Osho he would not get game time just warming the bench

  • Fred says:

Why go to Spurs just to sit on the bench? Money isn’t everything 😀

don’t think these two will be the only players having clubs showing interest. COYH.

Even if we stay up can not cope with premiership wages
2020 have done an excellent job in getting us to premier league but need to be questioned how they met our best assets leave for nothing allowing contracts to expire
Naismith a good example( although didn’t work out for him)
Lockyer would have gone if he hadn’t collapsed at Wembley and now Osho
    Bad management
And unsure if any closer to new ground
2020 have served purpose but we now need investment or will linger for many years back in EFL

  • Chris winter says:

Adam do we really want to go back down that road. After all our problems with past owners do you want that. Even with massive investments look at the problems fans are having with many owners. No thanks not for me I’ll stick with a fan owned club no great money but things will happen in time and we are still a fan based club not guided by corporate greed.
