Luton Town – Midfielder’s Future In Doubt

We are at the stage of the season, no matter where we will be playing our football, the futures of some of our players comes under the microscope.

Yesterday, one such rumour came to my attention.

According to Sports Mole, Luke Berry is one such player who could be leaving Kenilworth Road this summer.

Our referened source reminds us that the 31-year-old midfielder is out o contract this summer and may not be offered a new one.

Berry, during his time at Luton Town, has made 182 appearances for the club and has cored on 26 occasions.

However, since our monument climbing into the top-flight has seen Luke’s match time limited with the player making (so far) only 15 appearances but only 2 of those have come as starts.

Our source states that, already, two pOssible destinations are being mentioned, with Queens Park Rangers and Watford(?) featuring in the gossip.

Now, I’ve always been an admirer of Luke, as an impact substitute he’s dug us out of one or two holes and in our current injury crisis, he’s been invaluable.

But, if, as I hope we do, we retain our Premier League status Luke might be pondering how much game time he’ll get,

Also, if we are relegated, will Rob Edwards be looking to freshen up the squad with a view to launching a promotion campaign?

Your thoughts on the subject matter would be greatly appreciated.

Morning mh, Luke berry has been so unlucky at Luton . Management has vastly underrated him he should have played a lot more than he has in my opinion and I believe he will move on to be a player who gets game time.i only pray he doesn’t go to either team mentioned. I will also say I hear there will be lots of peripheral players leaving us an with those who command fees it coul be as many as 12 to 14. So Edwards can rebuild as he wants us to play.

if berry leaves , i hope he gets more game time, and a bit of financial security. i am sure many clubs will be looking at signing him. be interesting to see the peripheral players that chris says might be moving on. good to see that elijah is going to start, lets hope for a bit of luck, we could do with it. I suspect the following could leave perrara muskwe prepple Shea Campbell berry mapanzu Clark plus some youngsters and Potts also a transfer or two.

  • Peter Scott says:

I think that Berry should stay – we should though sell Potts or Pelly neither have come up to the standard of the Prem. Berry has at least put some good blocks in and scored important goals for us this year and no given any goals away. The time for sentimentality is now over COYH!
