Something For All Hatters Supporters To Ponder Over

|

Whiling away the hours I came across something that has provided the impetus for this article.

Lurking on the pages of Facebook was an interesting question.

It invited those who frequent the page to name, given the opportunity, to bring one player who played for their club in the eighties into their side today.

But the question also had an added twist.

It also wanted to know what aspect of the modern game that player would be most bewildered by.

So, this is where you come in.

Which player who pulled on a Luton Town shirt in the eighties would you like to see in a Hatter shirt for the remainder of this season when it finally restarts and also what modern aspect of the game would they mind most bewildering?

A few suggestions to get you thinking with regards to the second part of the question being:

• VAR

• Exorbitant salaries

• The Offside rule

• The plethora of games on television.

Hopefully, this article will get some response and keep a debate rolling over.

  • Phil Bassill says:

Mick Harford. We need to score more goals and upset opposition defenders.

Mick would be perplexed by the amount of protection goalkeepers receive.

Mal Donaghy , we need a good strong defender! I don’t think anything in the modern game would worry him!

  • Ken McAleer says:

Definitely Mick Harford , strongest front man we ever had then. Second part, Watford being in the league above us. Always remember the way he walked through those players sitting down and celebrating. Pure magic Mick!
