This afternoon, the Hatters welcome Brentford to Kenilworth Road for a Championship fixture.

After dropping two points, in midweek, at home to Nottingham Forest, Nathan Jones will be keen to see his side get back to winning ways.

It is the kind of game that would have seen the old ground filled to capacity with the supporters of both teams providing a raucous atmosphere, instead, in this pandemic driven society, it is just another fixture, in a growing line, to be played behind-closed-doors.

Last season, Brentford were unlucky not to achieve promotion to the Premier League, losing out to Fulham in the play-off final, at Wembley.

Despite losing Ollie Watkins and Saïd Benrahma, the West London club continue to strive towards their ambition of achieving top-flight football but currently sit below Luton Town in the Championship table.

My view is that today’s game will be one of the toughest we have played this season and the Hatters will have to be on top of their game to get anything from this fixture.

With the kick-off fast approaching, we are now able to bring you the team-sheets:

Starting with Luton Town:

Continuing with Brentford:

Hi mh, I find it strange that Lee one of our better players against forest loses his place an collo as well. Don’t understand what his thinking is

Hi Alan, your not alone me to. Poor goal to give away pass straight to an opponent

  • Alan says:

    Is your ifollow working bud

  • Chris winter says:

Mine is intermittent at the moment. Shades of last seasons defending again rubbish defending

  • Alan says:

Cant comment m8, my ifollow not working…seems like that’s a good thing tho…

  • Chris winter says:

Your right Alan dreadful again no sign of anything really in final third again. They are comfortable an hitting us on the break.

Hi all, yet another disasterous performance slipping back to last seasons performances. Think Jones needs to rethink on relying on his old guard an shaking them up now. To many players giving the ball to the
Opposition an nothing showing up front poor.

Hi mh, I think that yesterday proved that we still are short of being able to beat the regular championship sides on a regular basis unless we have a very good day an them a mediocre one. We have to take 6points against those below us every time we play them. If we hope to achieve a respectable place in the table. The last 2 games have been very poor an I think nj has to look at his team an find a way to grind out results an stop playing favs if that’s what it takes although up front he has nothing really to replace collo an cornick. Don’t know what you think about it so far
