After opting to invite 1000 spectators into Kenilworth Road for the fixture against Derby County and then deciding it was not, in fact, feasible in the short time the club had to prepare, it is back to watching coverage on the internet for the foreseeable future.

But the Hatters are, finally, set to get some live television coverage in the following weeks.

After covering the news Sky Sports will broadcast live the Carabao Cup tie against Manchester United – luton-get-that-financial-bonus-that-we-all-hoped-would-happen – the satellite television company have announced that they will also be providing live coverage of two Championship fixtures, involving the Hatters, in October.

The two games selected are:

Millwall (a) which will take place on 20-October and will kick-off at 19:45

and

Nottingham Forest (h) which will take place on 28-October and will also kick-off at 19:45

It will be an absolute pleasure to tune in and watch the Hatters strut their stuff.

Hi mh, good to get tv coverage or is it? Because according to nj the man utd is probably going to cost us money as it takes away money from the i follow stream with so many sky watchers then 2 more games on sky. Now I don’t know the ins an outs of revenue. But if njs right then can we afford to lose that money? Also I would happily lose 6-0 to utd if that meant we beat the scum next week an in the return match as that means the world to me.

perhaps they should be more concerned about getting 1000 through the turnstiles is my view! The longer we go on without spectators the more perilous the journey will become. Perhaps we should all do our bit to ease the situation, I’ll run an article along those lines.

Afternoon all, still think a 1000 in our ground is pretty feasible. Plenty of ways to do a one gate in one out. The Kenny can hold a 1000 with plenty of room….like I said before, I and many more would gladly volunteer to paint some lines and put some signs up….

Hi all, I agree with Alan that it should be possible to get that many fans in. If you spread them out so obviously they would be split into the four sides & you could ratio them so for instance the main stand could house more than the bobber etc. As for who would come it could be done by computer only for those who are willing to travel alone in case their friends or family aren’t lucky enough to be chosen? Also as has previously been mentioned, how is it that other clubs managed to get their grounds ready in time with the same amount of time to prepare? Can the club really afford to turn down the chance of this revenue or perhaps it makes little difference as I don’t understand the economics surrounding this situation.
