Sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and accept that the opposition were the better side than you were.

You can argue all you want about refereeing decisions and what might or might not have been, but it was plain for all to see, on Saturday, the visitors were the better team.

Arriving at Kenilworth Road, with a record of 8 wins in their last 9 Championship games, it looked as if the Hatters had put Albion to the sword when early goals from Carlton Morris and Elijah Adebayo had Kenilworth Road buzzing.

But once West Brom had settled, it was backs to the wall stuff and it came as no surprise that the visitors not only pulled those two goals back but got a winner.

It’s always hard to eat humble pie, especially after I’d predicted, before the game, Luton would sneak a win, but sometimes it must be done.

Thankfully, I’m not alone in thinking we got what we deserved against West Brom with social media alive with people thinking the same:

The result drops the Hatters down the table, but I’m not too concerned, the difference in points between our position and the play-offs , remains minimal and with two games, away to Wigan next up, first a FA Cup replay and then an EFL Championship match, we have the ideal opportunity to get back to winning ways.

  • Gary Reid says:

Sort the defensive side out and thanks Pelley for your past performances but time for a change

  • Alan says:

Always the same player when we lose. Clarke didn’t exactly set the midfield alight. Sorry but horvath should have done better on all 3 goals. If that was sluga this site would gave been going mental.

Hi Alan your right but compared to sluga he’s been far better consistently.. And he’s not been a flapper like sluga.

  • Alan says:

My point was how does pelly get the blame for this, when the blame is so obvious.

    • Chris winter says:

I think we both know the reason some will never forgive him for his dip in form last season. An now see him as the fall guy for everything. That’s wrong

Did he not antagonise a few supporters by delaying signing his contract, probably seeing what other offers came in, or have I got my wires crossed?

  • Alan says:

Hi m8. I don’t think pelly should be the 1st name on the team sheet & I have said many times that I believe he is now a squad player. I only stick up for him as, because of my job, I saw what he played through last year & what he went through to get fit again, I have the upmost respect. I talk to a lot of physios from other clubs who have players who just accept they will be out for some time. But believe me, pelly worked his socks off to get fit again. Even when he was not in full training he was 1st in last out. A proper pro. But each to there own.
