Luton – Revenge Is A Dish Best Served Cold

|

Yesterday, here at Vital Luton Town, now our gremlins have been cured, we covered the return of Aribim Pepple to the club.

Our article – striker-returns-early-from-loan-spell – pointed out that Pepple, despite making 15 appearances for Grimsby Town, had failed to score.

I also pointed out that it wouldn’t surprise me if Pepple was loaned out to another club, possibly non-league, before the transfer window slams shut.

Hopefully, if that is the case, he’ll be better received than he was by the Grimsby Town supporters who have wasted no time, on social media, to knock, in a severe way, our young striker:

Some very hurtful comments there and I sincerely hope that Pepple does prove those doubters wrong.

Meanwhile, I’m praying Luton can beat Wigan Athletic, in the FA Cup 3rd round replay, then we can give Grimsby Town the stuffing some of their supporters clearly deserve.

At 19 an playing in Canada is totally different to England. Someone at the club saw enough of him to gamble a little money on him on his performances. So why is he being written off by some already. Many seasoned pros sometimes take time to settle he may be no different. Maybe he should be kept at the club and play u21 games. Let him settle in properly before we judge him. Or even send him to somewhere like cheshunt or St Albans.

Can’t remember the full details (Sorry CW) in your previous posts on facilities and inclusion in U23 leagues because of pitch etc… Still give me worries on our ability to handle players at this crucial stage of development.
U18 and First Team are flying but we still seem to lack capability of transferring potential into first team level players.
Any development in this area I’ve missed?

Hi Steve, I’m not hearing anything about getting an undercover pitch for the u21 or u23 games so I think that’s dead for now. As to youngsters progressing into the team. I think it’s becoming very obvious that the problem was nj he didn’t trust youngsters an was never going to play them. Where as Rob is looking to the future putting them on the bench. Let’s be honest he would not put them on if we were chasing or in close game. An things went wrong and could destroy their confidence. But 3-0 up and 10 to go he will give them the chance. Something nj would rarely do.

have watched him a few times, and he looks the part, but needs basic skills taught on a regular basis. wonder why other clubs were so interested in him? . hope he makes it. COYH.

When have you watch him jimbo? Just curious as he only played a few games. Unless you’re a regular supporter of grimsby.
