Luton Support Give Thumbs Up To Safe Standing Implementation

Last week, here on Vital Luton Town, we ran an article with an intriguing headline.

Our article – football-set-for-a-massive-change – reported on what is perceived to be a change coming our way with it being highly likely that the UK government will approve the return of ‘safe-standing’ at football grounds.

Now it seems an absolute age since I used to arrive at Kenilworth Road early merely to claim my usual spot resting against a barrier and then passing the time, to kick-off, by reading the match programme.

But while the idea gets my full support, I was intrigued as to whether our readership would be behind the move.

Therefore, it made perfect sense to, via our poll facility, ask the question:

Are You In Support Of Safe Standing?

With just two answers to select from, a straight YES or NO, it seems that, like me, you are in favour of ‘safe-standing’ with 74% choosing the YES option with only 24% voting for the NO option.

However, this result leads me on to another conundrum.

If the government is keen to resurrect standing at football grounds, could we see changes in the Power Court development to accommodate such a stance?

Your thoughts on the above subject matter would be most appreciated in the comment facility beneath this article.
