When Kal Naismith put pen-to-paper, on a contract with Luton Town, I have to say his first few performances didn’t exactly fill me with excitement.

But boy, it is now certainly a case of the Scot being indispensable in the heart of the Hatters defence.

Yesterday against Fulham, a side who score for fun, Naismith was outstanding and marshalled the Hatters defence with aplomb.

It may only be mid-December but already the Hatters support are of the opinion that Naismith is way in the lead when it comes to being voted our player of the season, as the following social media comments illustrate:

But do we face a danger this coming January when the transfer window re-opens?

Could Naismith’s fine form, see the comment below:

attract interest from other clubs?

Could we be in a position whereby an offer is received that could be impossible to reject?

What are your thoughts on the above subject matter?

Is Naismith head and shoulders above others when it comes to the player of the year award, or could he be a January transfer target?

Please feel free to have your say in the comment facility beneath this article.

Morning MH. Naismith is definitely a contender in fact I believe he is good enough to be selected for Scotland. Another one of our team who could play at international level.
Going back to Saturdays game we still didn’t learn from last seasons game where once again we failed to mark Fulham’s leading goal scorer. Its not just because of his value or skill, left alone anyone could have scored in that situation. However the positives we came back the defence tighten up and Bree at long last showed why Nathan values him so highly with a perfect cross for Adebayo to put away.
On a separate subject did anyone read the Fulham article on Fulhamish where Cameron Ramsey used foul language to describe the rain and described Luton as a massive HGV yard with a depressing little trampoline on the way to the away terrace. What a sad individual

Well he is playing so well at the moment, he should get a call up soon . If anyone does come in for him they should have to pay a very good price for him and we would then make a great profit on him as we had him on a free I believe. But I hate to see him go as yet but the way he was talking a few months ago he was happy to be here . Coyh

What an outstanding signing Kal has been. Reece Burke has also shown the last two games why Nathan rates him so highly. Shea in goal? The whole defensive line looks far more confident. Look at how far we’ve come! Super Luton Town.
