Luton – Now That Was Some Debate

On Friday, two of the articles I published, certainly got a response, but it seems the one that really opened a can of worms wasn’t the one I expected to.

The articles – what-to-do-with-pelly-ruddock-mpanzu – and – support-kept-in-the-dark – certainly, became good discussion material but it was the latter that really upset the apple cart.

Prompted by a social media comment and my own curiosity, I was just intrigued to know if anybody felt the same way as me about undisclosed transfer fees and wanted to know, roughly, how much incoming buys cost.

Blimey, I really had to lower my head beneath the parapet with some of the comments letting me know in a very vociferous fashion to mind my own business, not that I was offended, this site is there for everyone to have their views and, over the years, I’ve developed thick skin.

Also, I do accept that 2020 are doing a wonderful job and should not be criticised, but that really wasn’t my intention.

But with a poll also attached to the article, with the question reading:

Should Transfer Fees Be Revealed?

It’s interesting to see that the voting edged towards the YES option with 66% favouring it as opposed to the 34% who went for NO!

Me, I’m staying silent and keeping my head down folks, but I must thank everyone for having their say on what I didn’t think would be such a controversial subject, fair play to you all.

You keep on going mate. We all have different opinions. Nothing wrong with good healthy debate, that’s how you get results.

Morning mh, have you seen the article about the Canadian pebble. It suggests that he’s abroad and didn’t play because he was nearing a transfer also that luton and Cheltenham might have come to an understanding luton buy him but immediately loan him to Cheltenham for the season.

  • Chris winter says:

Sorry that’s forest Green not Cheltenham

Yes Nathan’s done his business for the 1st team before setting off. The rest is for the future-the development squad. Pepple will be loaned out Forest Green for rest of the season. Pay his wages only; save on signing on fee etc. Good for both sides except FGR will not get any profits if Pepple does bag or fun in EFL.
