The Hatters next game, at home to Sheffield United, may still be a few days away but, even this early, I am intrigued as to what starting XI Nathan Jones will select.
After the fine win against Barnsley, this time last week, I anticipated that Nathan would keep, more-or-less, the same XI that served us so well.
The fact that the gaffer made so many changes and subsequently saw his side heavily beaten, irked the support.
Ahead of the Birmingham City game, Nathan had hoped that we would add to our points total with two home games to follow, something we, here at Vital Luton Town, mentioned – how-many-points-from-the-next-2-games
Therefore, with one of those games ending so badly, Nathan is under pressure to get his team selection right for the Sheffield United game, even more so with it being followed by away trips to Blackburn Rovers and Bristol City.
Nathan, as reported by Luton Today has already bemoaned the fact that Luton have been affected by injuries / pandemic problems, but we are not the only side in the Championship to face that problem.
Indeed, with so many arrivals in the summer and with the squad size having increased, I would have thought we could overcome such problems or introduce a style of play to nullify our opponent’s threat.
But and getting to the crux of the article, if you were Nathan, what starting XI would you select to take on a Sheffield United side that were playing Premier League football last season?

Sorry jimbo, I would have but they are moaning on here I keep trying to play with 12 men 😁 also I had no room we need all those defenders???? Well that’s what they call themselves 🤔 still not sure about that!!! So I couldn’t make room for him.
Personally I recall from youth a defender??? We had called captain pugwash. Aka Billy mcdermid used to think he was bad not anymore made him look like Steve Foster an that’s saying something.
