It is fair to say that the Hatters have made a decent start to the 2021/2022 Championship season.
With three games played we have a record that looks like – WLW – giving us 6 points out of the 9 available and leaving us sitting in a respectable 7th place in the Championship table.
We should also point out that our solitary loss was against newly relegated West Bromwich Albion who are recognised as being one of, if not the best side in the league.
The next two games, for the Hatters, are both at home with Birmingham City visiting this Saturday and Sheffield United, another newly relegated side, arriving the following Saturday.
Ahead of the game against Birmingham City, Nathan Jones spoke to the media in depth, but one particular line, published by Luton Today, caught my eye with Nathan remarking
“Two home games now, so we’ll be disappointed if we don’t increase our points tally.”
It is an intriguing line and perhaps Nathan was being a little coy because I watched Birmingham City in midweek, and they did nothing to suggest that they can beat us.
As for Sheffield United, from what I have seen of the Blades this season, they could be one of the unfortunate sides that suffer consecutive relegations, they have looked that poor.
Therefore, I would be a lot bolder than Nathan and suggest that there is no reason why we cannot take 6 points from the next 2 games, to keep the momentum going to our fine start to the season.
But is that a view you concur with?

6 POINTS. COYH.
I think 6 pts possible as both these teams are under performing at the moment. But won’t be surprised if we get 4
