Luton Linked With 3 Bristol City Players

Yesterday (Tuesday), here at Vital Luton Town, we ran an article that suggested three possible strikers the hatters might be considering.

Our article – 3-possible-striker-signings – was based upon an article we stumbled on produced by Football League World, an article that introduced us to nine possible Luton targets.

Nestling among the nine were, quite by coincidence, three players who have been released by a fellow Championship club, Bristol City, with the trio being:

-Jamie Paterson
-Liam Walsh
-Jack Hunt

Now we covered Jamie Paterson in our referenced article yesterday, but what about the other two could they be contenders for a role in Nathan Jones squad revamp?

The first of those not covered is Liam Walsh, a 23-year-old midfielder who, after an injury hit season, has been released by Bristol City.

Walsh may have had his problems last season but the previous season, while on loan at Coventry City, he made 26 League One appearances, scoring on 3 occasions and providing 5 assists.

Is there potential there that Nathan Jones and his team could unlock?

The second of not covered previously is Jack Hunt, another who is available on a free transfer.

Hunt, older than Walsh at 30-years-of-age, made 41 appearances for Bristol City last season and provided 4 assists.

Could Hunt add some depth and experience to the squad?

Please feel free to have your say on the above subject matter by dropping your views into the comment facility beneath this article.

My own view is a little tainted by our last dealings with the West Country club whereby we brought Joe Morrell to the club and then watched on as the player played more minutes for Wales than he did Luton Town, but perhaps that is a little harsh on Walsh and Hunt.

But, once again, I am asking myself are they any better than what we already have at Kenilworth Road?
