Luton – Focussing On The Opposition – Nottingham Forest

|

After three games without a win, two draws and a loss, the Hatters play-off dreams have stuttered recently.

This Friday, Good Friday, Luton have the chance to rectify that fact when Nottingham Forest are the opponents at Kenilworth Road.

However, after taking just two points from the last nine available, an injury hit Hatters will need to be on top of their game against a side who are the form team in the Championship who have won their last five games.

Ahead of the clash we thought we’d look at how Forest’s season has progressed so far.

Forest have played 39 games, 2 fewer than Luton and could challenge for the second automatic promotion place if they win their 2 games in hand.

Of those 39 games, they’ve won 19, drawn 10 and lost 10, scoring 61 goals and conceding just 36, giving them a goal difference of +25.

Their performances have seen them accumulate 67 points and they sit in 3rd position in the table, closing in on second place Bournemouth.

As mentioned previously, Steve Coopers side are on a run of impressive form with the results from their last 5 games reading – WWWWW, meaning they have taken a maximum 15 points from the 15 points available.

Looking at the goals scored, their top scorers are the impressive youngster, Brennan Johnson, who has 15 goals this season and the reliable Lewis Grabban who had netted on 13 occasions.
