The surprise signing of Robert Snodgrass has certainly galvanised the support when it comes to what may lie in store for Luton come the end of the season.
The experienced 34-year-old, as we reported yesterday β luton-announce-shock-but-most-welcome-signing – has been welcomed with open arms by the support.
But, when you dig deeper among the raft of comments posted on social media, there are numerous that suggest signing Snodgrass could well be the difference between making the play-offs / promotion and remaining a Championship club:
Play off final maybe?

Class, should mean we're nailed on for the play offs

Premier league here we come

But this inference isnβt just restricted to the Luton support with fans of other clubs, taking time out to post on Luton social media sites, also championing the same suggestion:
Congratulations to Luton Town on their Promotion to the Premier League. π

Personally, as I have written before, Iβm sceptical as to whether, as a club, promotion to the Premier League this season would do more harm than good, but, then again, the rest of the season will certainly prove to be interesting.
But what are your views on the subject matter, could Snodgrass really make that much difference?

Luton β The Robert Snodgrass File
Hi mh, I’ve had my say on your previous post. All I can say yet again is it will depend on how much game time he gets between now and the end of the season. I still suspect we will finish 8th or 9th.
always welcome experienced players, but we seem to have a lot. need the young players, the future. promotion is a pipe dream. be patient, and welcome watford back to the championship. don’t stop dreaming, but keep it real. coyh.
love the Watford snipe jimbo
Great to see that NJ realises that the quality of some midfielders does not match the faith he places in them – now Snodgrass is a true legend in his career so far – if he is anything like Naismith – we will be in the cup final at least
small matter of the World Club Champions to get past first!
As I’ve said snodgrass has been training with us a while now, so apart from match fitness, he is fit….also whatever we think, the club have proved be making this addiction, they are aiming big….enjoy the ride.
it promises to be enjoyable to say the least.
