By the powers of persuasion and the fact he was a free agent, Luton Town have added Robert Snodgrass to their squad for the remainder of the season.
The signing was something we covered in an article late yesterday – luton-announce-shock-but-most-welcome-signing – but what do we know about the player?
As is the norm when it comes to a new signing, here at Vital Luton Town, we thought we’d produce one of our mini fact files:
Full Name – Robert Snodgrass
Date of Birth – 7-Sept-1987
Place of Birth – Glasgow, Scotland
Height – 6 feet 0 inches
Position – Winger / Midfielder
Youth Career – Rangers South BC, Livingstone
Professional Career – Livingstone, Stirling Albion (loan), Leeds United, Norwich City, Hull City, West Ham United, Aston Villa (loan), West Bromwich Albion, Luton Town

When it comes to the raft of clubs Robert has played for, his longest spell was at Leeds United where he made 168 league appearances scoring 35 goals.
As far as the international scene goes, Robert has 28 full caps to his name and has scored 7 goals for Scotland.
Here at Vital Luton Town, I would like to take this opportunity to formally welcome Robert to our fine club, may his stay be a fruitful one.

Luton – Focussing On The Opposition – Derby County
Morning mh, I don’t know how fit he is at the moment or if he’s going to be on the bench this afternoon. But if a play off place is to become a reality then we need him to be playing ASAP in my opinion. Like our other golden oldies we need that experience now not with 6 or 7 games left. Let’s hope he gets fit quickly as his dead ball an passing abilities are second to none. Even if the speed is no longer there.
who would you drop to let snodgrass play. maybe use him as a super sub. wonder what the midfield will be today. its so important, they can dictate play and nullify the opposition. hope he picks the right players. now we are safe, please give young players a chance. every other team seems to give young players a chance, why don’t we.? It is a conundrum Nathan will have to solve but not to the detriment of the team performance, should be a very interesting game today against Derby County.
Just imagine facing a mid 3 of Campbell, lansbury & snodgrass……lol……
with Cornick and Adebayo thriving on the service provided, mouth-watering!
Don’t know if Chris knew this but snodgrass has been training with us for a few weeks now…..so he isn’t unfit.
but will he start today or will he wait until Wednesday when Chelsea are in town?
Hi Alan, I heard but as you know to protect sources like you I don’t say until they sign. But hint about signing may happen.
