Challenging The Expert (1) – The Result

Ahead of the new Championship season we embarked on a new, season-long, series, one which we hope will prove interesting as it unfolds.

Somewhat irked by the fact that the Sky Sports Championship pundit, David Prutton, had the audacity to predict Luton and Peterborough would draw 2-2, I explained, in the linked article – challenging-the-expert-1 – that, here at Vital Luton Town, we would be running a comparison between what Prutton actually predicted and how the team fared.

Well, it would appear that Prutton has egg on his face after the first fixture of the season with Luton emphatically beating the newly promoted side, 3-0.

Which, by my reckoning, makes the opening gambit in this season long exchange:

Luton Town FC 3 points, David Prutton 0 points.

Not the start our expert was hoping for I would say.

With our next fixture in the Championship, being away to recently relegated West Bromwich Albion, I wonder if David Prutton can close the gap with his punditry prediction expertise?
