Yesterday, following the win against Wycombe Wanderers, on Saturday, here at Vital Luton Town, we ran an article that concentrated on the future of one player who turned the game on its head at Adams Park.
Our article – it-is-decision-time-regarding-this-luton-midfielder – asked whether you believed George Moncur, after his efforts on Saturday, deserved a new contract with his current one expiring at the end of the current season.
As is the norm, such an inquisitive article contained a poll, with the question simply reading:
Should Moncur Be Offered A New Contract?
With only two options to choose from, the result left us in no doubt as to your feelings with 97% opting for YES and only 3% opting for NO.
Interestingly, following the win against Wycombe, a victory in which several players who are soon to be out-of-contract played, Nathan Jones was giving little away in his post-match interview with Luton Today reporting:
“We keep preaching about it’s a squad game and you get your opportunity.
“They train so well every day, they’ve got a great attitude, they get frustrated at times, but I never see that.
“They want to be here, they don’t have to prove they want to be here, what they have to do is be given opportunities.
“They’ve got real, real quality, it’s just we want to keep evolving.
“Can we evolve with everyone? I don’t know.”
Well, if the gaffer does not know I am sure none of us know.

Hi mh, let’s face it with the owners we have anything related to signings is kept very in-house. An the manager is the same. Don’t expect any surprises in the team sat. With regard to out of contract players I for one won’t be surprised if 3 of them leave an the other 2 are 50/50
