Luton – A Hero In The Making

After not getting on the score sheet for several matches, Elijah Adebayo rectified that fact with a splendid headed goal, against Wycombe Wanderers.

Our transfer deadline day signing continues to go from strength-to-strength and hopes are high that the striker can go on to join the band of strikers that, years after retiring, are remembered as Luton legends.

The form of Adebayo continues to see him picked as one of the first names on the team sheet, something that must be doing wonders for his confidence.

Reading through the plethora of social media posts relating to the striker, it is already apparent that Elijah is held in esteem by the Hatters faithful, with the posts below illustrating that very point:

Behind-closed-doors football is better than nothing but when the Hatters support is allowed to return to Kenilworth Road, this young man will soon get to know just how highly regarded he already is by the Luton faithful.

Morning jimbo, your quite right. Still very raw but the talents there an with mick to train him can only improve. But let’s hope some fans don’t get on his back if he hits a flat spot. He will miss a lot of chances to start with but he’s learning.

morning all, we’ve all seen how having just one very good season in the Championship can see a strikers value rocket. Andre Gray went from a 500k pre-season purchase to Brentford selling him for 6 million at the end of the season after banging in 20 goals. Ivan Toney is another who’s stock has risen massively after just one prolific season in the Championship, he now has to be worth 10m-15m which prem clubs will pay. Not sure how long Elijah’s contract is but it may be shrewd for us to extend it like we have done with Jordan Clark.

Elijah is an all-round exiting prospect, but now he’s in the shop window, how long can we keep hold of him.
also, it was good to see Cornick get those pin point crosses in, food and drink to a player like Elijah.
