The new season isn’t that far off, once the 2018 World Cup has been completed, the Hatters support will be looking towards the return of domestic football.

For Luton that means a return to League One, after finishing in second place, in League Two, last season thereby gaining automatic promotion.

Our hopes are that the Hatters can march on and earn a second consecutive promotion, a bit ambitious perhaps but, then again, isn’t everyone’s cup overflowing with ambition ahead of a new season.

But, realistically, we’ve come up with 3 reasonably well-grounded things Luton must do next season.

Firstly, the Hatters need to get off to a good start, the magnitude of which we’ll determine when the fixture lists are released in a week or so.

Secondly, it’s essential that the gathering momentum relating to the new stadium, at Power Court, is maintained, it’s been criminal how talk of a new ground has come to nothing over the years.

Thirdly, Luton need to enjoy themselves, they need to play with the freedom Nathan Jones had instilled in the team, then the results will flow.
