You may have noticed that although Luton earned a draw, away to Huddersfield Town, on Saturday, there is a suspicion among the support, we could have done better.

Indeed, it is a tone that is prevalent in a couple of articles we have already published today – luton-boss-happy-with-points-accumulated-on-the-road-in-a-busy-week – and – luton-town-supporters-have-mixed-opinions-regarding-point-taken-at-huddersfield-town.

The disappointment comes courtesy of how Luton, when going forward, gave the ball away far too easily and when it came to chances that fell their way, they could not take them.

At this level, chances can be few and far between, a failure to take them can have dire consequences.

Recently, here at Vital Luton Town, we ran an article – luton-town-face-a-conundrum-come-january – where we suggested, on the back of scoring less than a goal a game, the club needed to seriously consider bringing in a striker, once the January transfer window closes.

However, we are also acutely aware that finances, due to the current pandemic driven situation, could be scarce –

With that being the case, and as Chris Winter suggested in a comment left recently, the Hatters may have to consider the option of parting company with several players in the current squad, fringe players, to raise the necessary funds to purchase a striker.

If that were the case, we have a simple question for you all – which of the current Luton Town squad would you be willing to sacrifice to raise the cash for a striker?

Please feel free to drop your views on the above subject matter in the comment facility beneath this article.
