Four points from two away fixtures in Yorkshire is, some would say, a fair return, although others might beg to differ, believing Luton should have had a maximum six points.

Whatever the outcome, we have to be pleased that following the first eleven games of this new Championship season we sit in a very healthy tenth place in the table.

More importantly, considering the woes of last season, the Hatters are a lot closer to a play-off place than we are to a relegation spot.

Following the 1-1- draw, away to Huddersfield Town, and as reported by The BBC, the Hatters boss, Nathan Jones, had this to say:

“It is a good point for us. We have got four points on the road in a week and we would have taken that at the start.

“Ideally we would have loved three points, but we just ran out of steam a bit at the end.

“People are putting in massive shifts and lots of minutes and it is taking its toll. I’m delighted for George Moncur, he has been very patient and it was an excellent goal.”

Yes, it was an excellent goal, whether it came fresh from the training ground or involved a bit of good fortune I will let you decide.

As for the ‘running out of steam’ that is understandable considering the number of games Luton have been forced to play in recent weeks.

But, with an international break now upon us, we do not play again until we host Blackburn Rovers, in two weeks’ time, plenty of opportunities to get those aching limbs restored
