For the last two games, Gary Brabin has selected Kevin Pilkington between the sticks.
The thirty-seven year old, in the twilight of his career, was expected to make way for Mark Tyler last weekend, at Cambridge, but after his performance, against Northampton, he was given the nod ahead of Tyler.
Explaining his decision, Brabin commented,
“I keep telling the lads I want competition for places and they`ve got to warrant that. I thought Kevin Pilkington came in and was fantastic last week agaist Northampton. He`s a good keeper and I`m lucky enough to have good competition between them.”
“If Kevin gets his opportunity I`m sure he will grab it with both hands. He`s in a position to keep his place and I felt he deserved that after Saturday.”
Who do you prefer between the sticks?
Pilkington or Tyler?
