More Time?

Although our Dutch trialist Romano Deeneboom participated in the 4-1 reserve team win over Stevenage, his performance wasn`t what was expected of a former Dutch international.

Now thirty years of age, you get the impression that the Hatters boss, Gary Brabin, is weighing up whether the Dutchman will fall into the same lack of fitness trap that hampered Collin Samuel and saw him leave Kenilworth Road.

Brabin, speaking about the situation he finds himself in had this to say to the local media,

“I think you can see his quality, but at the same time you can see he is miles off fitness-wise.”

“I think it is going to be a case of now seeing how long he is prepared to be here and get fit.”

“We`ve got another meeting to see what the next stage is.”

“This was the first step, playing this reserve game today. It was important for him and we will take it from there.”

One can only wonder how much time he will be given though!
