Bravery Personified!

Seeing the name of James Dance on the team-sheet last weekend was a pleasant surprise.

Dance, as we`re all aware, fractured his jaw and cheekbone whilst scoring against Hendon Town in the FA Cup.

Listening to descriptions of his injuries, and subsequent operations, it was thought that Dance would be out for a considerable time.

But, with bravery in abundance, he has pulled on the Hatters shirt in remarkably quick time and played his part in the 1-1 draw against Cambridge.

Speaking about his operation and parts of his recovery, Dance has told the local media,

“It`s fine now. I had a few weeks not training, started back last Thursday. I`ve had a god week under my belt now, so I was fine.”

“It`s just my nose and hard to breath at the minute. The fracture goes across there and I have stitches in my mouth. The fracture goes across where all the nerves come out of your cheek so the doctor said not to expect the feeling back completely which is unfortunate. I can`t smile properly yet, the missus isn`t happy, but it`s nothing to worry about.”

“The doctors been really good and said I didn`t need a mask.”

One remarkably brave young man methinks!
