Continuing our ongoing series where we continue our quest to publish Luton Town XI’s containing, in most cases, a single letter of the alphabet or when the need arises an XI combining two letters.
Already, we’ve covered ‘A’ to ‘T’ and today we’re publishing combined XI’s that start with the letters ‘U’ through to ‘Z’.
First up is an XI submitted by Chris Winter:
• Christian Walton
• Matthew Upson
• Alan White
• Luke Wilkinson
• Adrian Whitbread
• Gary Waddock
• Alan West
• Isaac Vassell
• Rowan Vine
• Paul Walsh
• Roy Wegerle
As for Tony Byfield, he’s selected the following XI:
• Christian Walton
• Chris Willmott
• Matt Woods
• Matthew Upson
• Paul Underwood
• Danny Wilson
• Gary Waddock
• Alan West
• Steve White
• Paul Walsh
• Roy Wegerle
As for my XI, I settled on the following:
• Christian Walton
• Jean-Louis Valois
• Matthew Upson
• Alan White
• Luke Wilkinson
• Alan West
• Gary Waddock
• Roy Wegerle
• Danny Wilson
• Paul Walsh
• Imre Varadi
That concludes what has been an interesting experience and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support.

Hi mh, if you get a chance to read Mike Simmons article in the luton news on gj’s tenure at luton do so as it confirms what a lot of your contributors were saying at the time. And also reading between the lines. Some of the things said were also true but as a journalist he won’t report that. So people on here are quite well informed an not the downers one or two people tried to imply.
Hi chris, interesting article…just confirming what most us thought all along…still think something strange happened somewhere…im convinced he was asked to take a pay cut & refused, as he clearly never had the club at heart…just a job to him.
Morning Alan, you may well be right about that. But I think more telling is the part about his negativity about the team. Remember my saying early on in the season all was not well amongst the team. I think that all the negative vibes affected team morale. An a loss of confidence. We will all have worked somewhere where poor management has led to loss of productivity an morale
Hi all, I see Alan pardew has been released by den harg I wonder if after his visit to luton shortly before going them. Means he may now be available to luton?
He’d be a solid choice in my opinion
Pardew, not a bad call…
