Down the road at that place called Vicarage Road our near neighbours have been taken over.
It transpires that the family who own the Italian side, Udinese, have taken over the club.
Now what plans they may have for Watford I don`t know but already there are mutterings about giving young Udinese stars a platform to perform on a regular basis and that one of the finest imports ever to perform in the Premier League, Gianfranco Zola, will be installed as their new gaffer.
Like ourselves, Watford have slipped from the pedestal they once occupied but, like many others I long for the day our paths cross again.
Down in the Conference, I`ve really missed those tasty derby fixtures and if we can get back into the Football League next season, shall we all pray we get Watford in one fo the domestic cups, now wouldn`t that be a treat!
