Now That Was Sublime Luton

Sat in front of the TV yesterday evening, I prayed that the Hatters didn’t disgrace themselves in our hour of need.

And do you know what, they didn’t, in a tough fixture away to Huddersfield Town, Nathan Jones side produced the battling kind of performance we need in our current situation.

After weathering the inevitable storm, from the home side, the Hatters emerged the victors’ courtesy of second-half goals from Sonny Bradley and Elliot Lee.

The result lifted Luton Town off the bottom of the table and gives the Hatters support the hope that, despite the recent blip, Luton can retain their Championship status.

Following the final whistle, Nathan Jones spoke to the media and, as reported by The BBC had this to say:

“I thought we were magnificent tonight, tactically we were brilliant.

“They came out of the blocks, they really tried to press us, we weathered it, we played through it and we were the more dangerous side.

“I thought defensively we were excellent, structurally they were good, and they gave me a huge, huge shift.”

Indeed, they did and now Luton need to kick on and take this attitude into their last three games, fixtures against Queens Park Rangers and Blackburn Rovers at Kenilworth Road and a huge away fixture against Hull City.

COYH’s, you CAN do it!
