Nicholls doubt

Luton Town skipper Kevin Nicholls faces a battle to be fit for Saturday’s trip to Elland Road to face Leeds United.

He picked up a hamstring injury in training and is rated doubtful for the match. However, don’t write him off yet; he has a history of fighting back from injury and will not want to miss the clash against the team currently in 4th place and 15 points ahead of the Town.

Better news is that Paul Underwood and Chris Coyne are back in training and both will be hoping to return for the match.

Leeds United defender Sean Gregan is not taking the Town lightly after their excellent result against league leaders Reading last Friday.
The former West Brom skipper told the Yorkshire Evening Post:

‘It’s going to be a tough game and they’ll be coming here on a massive high.

‘Luton have still got an outside chance of making the play-offs and they won’t come here for a point. But we’ll be looking for all three as well and it should make for an open game.

‘They’ve fallen away in recent weeks, but they’re still in with a chance.’
