And so the intriguing battle as to who will be relegated from the Premier League continues.

After the results, on Saturday, with Luton Town and Everton winning, Brentford drawing, and Burnley losing, we were all waiting to see how Nottingham Forest fared, hoping that Tottenham Hotspur would do us a big favour.

Thankfully they did, beating Nottingham Forest 3-1, thereby keeping the points total we both have, at 25 but with the goal difference now only 4 goals in their favour.

Currently, the Hatters are level on points with Nottingham Forest, but 4 points adrift of Everton and Brentford but remain 6 points ahead of Burnley and 9 ahead of the bottom club Sheffield United.

Therefore, all eyes are now focused on next weekend, where the following fixtures, involving the relegation places, await us:

• Brentford v Sheffield United
• Burnley v Brighton
• Nottingham Forest v Wolverhampton Wanderers
• Chelsea v Everton

And

• Manchester City v Luton Town

Assessing the four games, it appears that our siutation could worsen with any hopes of getting a result at Manchester City looking slim.

But, with regards to the other games, I’d certainly take Sheffield United grabbing a draw at Brentford but expect the home side, in all probability, to take all three points.

As for Brighton away to Burnley, the away side are certainly capable of beating Burnley but it will depend which Brighton turn up, the good side or the side that has, due to injuries, slipped in recent weeks.

As for Nottingham Forest, I reckon the least they’ll get is a draw, but I may be wrong.

Regarding the Everton fixture, I’m hoping that the real Chelsea turn up, the Chelsea that troubles sides in the top-six, as opposed to the Chelsea that struggles against sides in the lower reaches of the Premier League.

But what are your views on the next round of fixtures?

Is it likely that things will get worse for Luton ahead of the last five games of the season where it is looking increasingly likely we may have to win at least our to survive?
