This weekend the Hatters make the short trip to West London to face Brentford in a Premier League fixture.

After the dramatic win, against Crystal Palace, last weekend, the Hatters support will be hoping that their side can, for the first time this season, make it two Premier League victories on the bounce.

However, it promises to be a stiff task with our opponents sitting in a comfortable mid-table position.

Back in January 2021, Brentford featured in our ongoing ‘They Played For Both’ series with, after much deliberation, I came up with the following starting XI (plus substitute):

Goalkeeper – Nathan Abbey

Defender – Lewis Emanuel
Defender – Clive Goodyear
Defender – Adam Newton
Defender – Fraser Franks

Midfielder – David Court
Midfielder – Chris Kamara
Midfielder – Wayne Turner

Striker – Steve Claridge
Striker – David Geddis
Striker – Andre Gray

Substitute – Rowan Vine

As can be seen, there are some familiar names in the starting XI (plus substitute), but as was, and still is, the norm, I asked our readership to assist in providing the names of players I may have missed with only the following name being forwarded:

Alan McCormack

However, the suggestion has caused me to slightly reamp my XI (plus substitue)

Goalkeeper – Nathan Abbey

Defender – Alan McCormack
Defender – Clive Goodyear
Defender – Adam Newton
Defender – Fraser Franks

Midfielder – David Court
Midfielder – Chris Kamara
Midfielder – Wayne Turner

Striker – Steve Claridge
Striker – David Geddis
Striker – Andre Gray

Substitute – Rowan Vine

But, are there any other names lurking out there?

If you can proide them, in the comment facility beneath this article, it would be appreciated.
