Luton Town – The ‘E and F’ XI Revisited

With four letters of the twenty-six in the alphabet already revisited, it is time to move on to the fifth letter ‘E’.

However, as I found out to be the case when this series was originally published, in April 2020, it was impossible to conjure up an XI that had surnames beginning with the letter ‘E’, therefore I utilised a bit of common sense and combined the letters ‘E’ and ‘F’.

As can be seen, in the original article – luton-town-e-and-f-xi – a regular contributor, Chris Winter, provided an XI:

• Jake Findlay
• Kevin Foley
• Paul Futcher
• John Faulkner
• Frazer Franks
• Lil Fuccillo
• Adrian Forbes
• Jaroslav Fojut
• Ron Futcher
• Rodney Fern
• Andrew Fotiadis

with my XI listed as thus:

• Ian Feuer
• Paul Elliott
• Steve Foster
• Paul Futcher
• Kevin Foley
• Sean Evers
• Lil Fuccillo
• Carlos Edwards
• Lars Elstrup
• Ron Futcher
• Rodney Fern

Post publication it was pointed out by several of our readership that both of us had omitted Graham French from our XI’s, obviously to our obvious embarrassment, but, at the time, old age was the excuse mentioned.

Since publication, I can only think of:

• Luke Freeman

as someone who fits the criteria having joined us since the original article was published.

So, after a period of mulling over, I’ve come up with what I consider to be the ultimate XI which looks as thus:
