It has been a strange weekend, what with the Premier League on hold due to the fourth international break of the 2023/2024 season.

Without any Hatters action it has had the feeling of being the close season but without the, sometimes, warm weather.

However I have scratched around and managed to find some football to watch, from the EFL Leagues 1 and 2, I particularly enjoyed seeing Stockport County (the other Hatters) stuffing MK Dons 5-0 and Soccer Saturday was entertaining with all the goals being shown shortly after they had been scored.

But I was a tad disappointed to find out, today, that the much anticipated Scottish League Cup Final, involving Glasgow Rangers, was not a game of the male variety, just goes to show how much interest I take in football north of the border.

One game I didn’t watch though was the friendly international between England and Brazil, after all why would I view a game that has caused the interuption of the aforementioned programme?

However, clicking through social media today, I was delighted to see that those who organise such things had the graciousness to recognise the recent passing of our own Ron Baynham:

A nice touch for a hero of ours.
