Luton Support Delighted With Second Win In Five Days Against Wigan

A goal, in each half, was enough to give the Hatters their second win in five days at the DW Stadium, against Wigan Athletic.

With our top-scorer Carlton Morris out injured, it was left to Harry Cornick and Elijah Adebayo to plunder the goals, in the first-half and second-half respectively.

Both goals were example of clinical finishing with Luton converting the only two efforts they had, on target, all game.

The victory lifts Luton up into seventh place in the table but, if they can win the game in hand they have over the teams above them, then they will hit the dizzy heights of third place.

However the EFL Championship now has to be put on hold as a FA Cup fourth round tie, at home to Grimsby Town, next Saturday, awaits us.

Nevertheless, after the fine win, it was no surprise to see praise offered in the general direction of Rob Edwards and the squad, for another fine performance:

It appears that Edwards influence is having a great effect on the team and only defeats at the hands of Middlesbrough and West Bromwich Albion, mar his record.

But another pleasing point, yesterday, with Morris out was that both Harry Cornick and Elijah Adebayo both got on the scoresheet:

It was and both players doubled their score tallies for the season, a great boost to the confidence both needed.

Things are looking bright at Kenilworth Road and long may it continue.

Yes good win 3 points but let’s not get carried away with the opposition they are rock bottom for a reason cant score goals haven’t won a game for god knows how long so with Luton,s desperation,s of taken part in the play off,s we should not given but should win these games what I’d like to see is better all round management off games when leading or scoring first against better opposition, up the town

But was this a game, of old, Luton would have dropped points in? But I do agree with your other points, especially game management.

  • Andrew says:

We have to take wins anything we can good or ugly, sure they will play far teams but you cam only beat who are in front of you. But they got a week now to improve on things that Rob wants to bring to the team . Well done lads . Coyh
