It is fair to say that some of the transfer speculation we report on is, to put it mildly, just that.
Often you get cases of players being linked to clubs, by their agents, just to stir up interest from other clubs.
Before the Bank Holiday weekend started, a piece of news caught my eye, the fact that Jack Wilshere had been released by Bournemouth.
Now I am not, in any way, claiming to be a representative of Jack, I do not know the player and I have never met him; besides, I am just an amateur hack doing this as a hobby.
But I could not resist the opportunity to present an article entitled – perfect-signing-is-right-under-our-noses – naturally with a pertinent poll attached.
The results of the poll were interesting!
Of those who took the opportunity to vote, 48% were in favour of signing the former England international despite concerns raised, by our readership, over his injury record and his probable salary.
Personally, I cannot see the move happening but, as I may have said before, stranger things have happened in this wonderful game of ours!
