Although the furor surrounding the potential formation of a European Super League continues to dominate the media, a little piece of transfer speculation has caught our eye.

According to several news sources, including The Daily Record, the Hatters are being linked with the acquisition of a midfielder.

The player in question is the 22-year-old Motherwell player, Allan Campbell.

Campbell is out of contract this summer having spent five years at Fir Park, coming through the Motherwell academy.

This season he has made 36 appearances for Motherwell and has scored on 5 occasions.

However, as you would expect, Luton Town will face fierce competition for Campbell with our referenced source inferring Millwall, Aberdeen and Hibernian are also all interested.

The midfield area of the squad is an area, here at Vital Luton Town, we are expecting some transfer activity in this summer.

With Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s loan spell coming to an end and the future of George Moncur shrouded in doubt, Nathan Jones could be looking at bringing in another couple of players.

Now, whether Campbell is one of them remains to be seen.

Here at Vital Luton Town, we will endeavour to keep abreast of the situation and report back as deemed appropriate.
