Luton – If Only Dreams Came True

Wouldn’t life be wonderful?

After completing 6 x 12-hour shifts, single-handedly trying to resurrect the aviation industry, I thought I’d sleep like a log last night, especially as I could hardly keep my eyes open as watched the dross on the television.

But lying on the bed, with the tail end of the latest storm rattling the branches of a tree against my window, it must have been an age before I dropped off.

However, when I did drop off, I had the strangest of dreams.

I dreamed that I was back inside Kenilworth Road for the first home fixture of the 2020 / 2021 season, against Derby County, when the public address system sprung into life and asked all the home support in the ground to stand up and welcome the Hatters new signing, Lionel Messi, to the club.

As requested, everyone arose and applauded and cheered the arrival of the Argentine superstar who, for some reason unbeknown to me, had ignored the pleadings of several of Europe’s major clubs, to sign for Luton Town Football Club.

Before I could see how Messi would get on in our ranks, I awoke with a start as another gust of wind resulted in another branch rattling the window.

I grabbed my laptop to see what the time was and staring back at me was an article entitled:

Messi Asks Barcelona For Transfer

clearly, with that being the last article I had read before trying to get some sleep, my subconscious mind had played the most wonderful of tricks on me!

As for the time, it was 04:45 and all I could do was lie there, smile to myself and ponder just what life would be like if dreams came true!

Well we will not get Messi but how about Carlton Vickers? Watched Luton play Wealdstone last night and we had a great young full back playing but no sign of Potts is he injured? Still feel good as Bradley and Pearson are we still need a really good centre back Norwich will be great test but most of their team will be on international duty but Luton most not be complacent.

Hi 75, ithink you need to forget about ccv it’s unlikely he will be back. If the young full back your talking about is kioso. Then do not be surprised if he starts very soon he’s high in regard with management. And he’s probably going to get his chance sooner rather than later. Also talks are going on with another defender not bree an a forward
