And the momentum, with Luton Town earning a comfortable second Championship win, in the space of four days, continues.

The quest to climb the table, after missing out on four successive games, is well under the way, with the Hatters now sitting in 11th place.

The win, at Reading, last night was most welcome, although Reading had lost their last home game 7-0, against Fulham, there was always the possibility of a backlash.

But, after weathering the early storm, Luton were in control and thoroughly deserved the three points.

The result does have extra significance though:

• It extends the Hatters unbeaten run to 5-games.

• Luton last suffered a defeat back in November 2021

and

• It was the first time Luton have won back-to-back Championship games this season.

No wonder the Hatters support were bubbling last night, following the victory, on social media:

But, after such a miserable display from their side, the Reading support are a little forlorn:

Perhaps I should point out that we can only beat what is put in front of us!

With a side full of confidence, the Hatters travel to take on Sheffield United this Saturday, it’ll be a tougher game than last night, but I’m confident we can get a result, are you?

Definitely the most incompetent side I’ve seen this season (ok, apart from us at home to Brum). They’re going down. As long they take the other financial cheats down with them.

We could have gone for the kill and won. 0-5. But I guess there was a need to balance 3 points with 3 games in a week.

It was interesting to see how much the team trusts Bree. When he plays, most attacks come through him. Kioso did ok with what he had to do, which wasn’t much as the team weren’t using him for large chunks of the game. I’m sure that will change as he gets back into the swing of it.
