It is always good to follow the fortunes of those players who have served us well, indeed it would be churlish not to.
One such player was Alan Sheehan, a player who signed for the Hatters in 2016 and went on to make in excess of 100 league appearances for the club, many as captain, before being allowed to leave back in 2020.
After leaving Kenilworth Road, Sheehan was on the books of both Lincoln City and Northampton Town, but without replicating the success he had with Luton Town.
However, it appears that Sheehan is now ready to step into another area of our wonderful game.
Yesterday, courtesy of Luton Today news emerged that Sheehan had been appointed player-coach at the League Two side, Oldham Athletic.
Sheehan was the first player that Nathan Jones signed during his first spell at Kenilworth Road and quickly became a fans favourite.
I am sure you will join me in wishing Alan all the best in his new role and if our paths cross again I am sure he will be given the reception he deserves.
