After the midweek win, away to Coventry City, the Hatters welcome Queens Park Rangers, to Kenilworth Road, for a Championship fixture this Sunday.

The Hatters currently sit in 6th position in the Championship table but if Luton win and results go our way, we could end the weekend even higher up the table.

But QPR are a competent team, and we should not count our chickens before they have hatched.

Ahead of the game, I thought, here at Vital Luton Town, I’d look at how QPR’s season has gone so far.

Like us, QPR have played 35 games, out of 35 games they have won 16, drawn 8 and lost 11.

As for goals, they have scored 50 and conceded 41, giving them a positive goal difference of 9.

Their points total for the season stands at 56, 1 fewer than Luton, and they occupy 7th position in the table.

As far as recent form goes, QPR have seen it drop off in recent weeks with their last 5 games ending – LDWLL – giving them just 4 points out of the last 15 available.

When it comes to their top scorers, look no further than Lyndon Dykes who has 9 and Illias Chair who has 8.

Also among the scorer is Andre Gray, a player the Hatters support know well, with Andre having spent two seasons with the Hatters scoring 57 goals in 111 appearances, Gray is currently on loan, at QPR, from Watford and has scored 6 goals in 22 league appearances.

The reciprocating fixture, played on 19-November-2021, saw Luton lose 2-0.

Sat here in the editorial chair, I’m forecasting a tough game, but a game Luton can win, I’m predicting 2-1 to Luton, how about you?
