Luton Allow Striker To Go Out On Loan

Yesterday, here at Vital Luton Town, we were caught by surprise when news broke that one of our highly talented youngsters had been allowed to leave on loan.

Confirmed by the Official Site the Hatters have agreed that Dion Pereira can join Yeovil Town, on a short-term loan, said to be of one month duration.

For many, the move might seem strange!

After all, with an injury crisis having engulfed the club, were we not led to believe that it was a case of all hands to the pump when it comes to fielding a starting XI?

Perhaps, while we are in the midst of the second international break of this fledgling season, that crisis has eased, or perhaps Nathan Jones is confident that he can rely on the likes of Adebayo, Jerome and Cornick.

Several of those that frequent this site, most notably jimbo, have been craving for Pereira to be given a chance in the first team, something that just has not happened yet.

However, looking on the positive side, the loan spell will give Pereira the chance to get some regular first team football and I would imagine that there is a clause in the deal that will allow Luton to recall Dion if they become engulfed by another injury crisis.

All we can really do is wish Dion all the best while he is at Huish Park and hope that the experience furthers his career.

Morning mh, like many on here I still find no logic to allowing kioso an perriera out on loan. Lee yes nj just doesn’t want him anymore even if the fans do. An the others are some way off first team call ups that makes sense. Nj renaged on allowing kioso to fight for his place because of 1 mistake against Birmingham. Yet every single player that day was culpable it was a abysmal team performance.

Hi all , I can see some logic in the loan but for one month does not seem that long for him to get into the team and play first team football , but I don’t know anything about football . But I have notice something over the past few years that not many have been out on loan and then come back and don’t get into the first team if I was there I would say notoa loan ,fight for my place . Kioso was an attitude problem and he wants to be at mk. Thought this had been mentioned before. Pereira is for game time and from what I hear fitness due to him recover from a slight calf strain.
